SpaceX has taken the human one step closer to becoming a multi-planet species.  The Falcon Heavy is the most powerful rocket by a factor of 2 at a third of the cost of its competitors.  Not only did it enter orbit as planned, it also, was able to land all three of its rockets for reuse.  This is what will allow SpaceX to continue to lower the price
